The goal of community development is to improve quality of life and create mutual benefit and shared responsibility among community members. Community Development aims to strengthen communities by working towards social justice, poverty reduction, food access and advocacy.

I have learned a lot about the importance of community development in the election process thanks to the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre. Taking the Making Voices Count training has encouraged me to share why voting is important in my community. I want to help spread the word and share with all of my neighbours.
